Neighborhood Transformation Grants

Funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), Neighborhood Transformation Grants support community-driven development initiatives focused on economic justice, not-for-profit mission alignment, neighborhood beautification, and growing local workforces. Steadfast City represented several clients in the City of St. Louis Neighborhood Transformation Grant for June 2023. Each client we collaborated with was granted at least one award. The successful applications secured over $1.8 million out of the total available $20.25 million, which is 8.8% of the total funds and only 0.8% of the overall requests.

Some of the awarded applications, clients and projects include:

  • Foundation for Strengthening Families: $413k The Show Me Family Zone will convert a vacant LRA property into an early childhood educational facility. The Good Shepherd Academy for Boys will offer 40 slots to low-income families.

  • Cornerstone CDC: $90k - Plan and begin construction for a community hub on former LRA property (5908 Etzel, 63112) stabilized through the Prop NS program
