Margaret Riter is a tax credits & incentives and economic development executive with the practiced skill of navigating diverse industry sectors. Her career started in tax incentive compliance and, leaning into the challenge, she spent over a decade navigating the full spectrum of credits and incentives, site selection, and workforce analytics. As a leading partner at Steadfast City, Margaret has successfully managed over 40 site selection and credits & incentives projects, maintaining a 100% success rate. Margaret brings a forward-thinking “big picture” and detailed approach to credits & incentives while monitoring the ever-changing nature of policy and administration.

Margaret is a member of the leadership team at Steadfast City and finds fulfillment in developing the next generation of economic development professionals. She and her team provide full-service site selection, tax credits & incentives, and compliance services throughout the United States but her residing city is Rochester, NY. She spends her free time enjoying and exploring her community with her adventurous daughter and husband. Much like life with a 4-year old, credits and incentives makes every day unique and Margaret enjoys the continual growth inherent in both.
